Big News About Movies

Well I went with some friends to go check out Cloverfield this weekend. And I got to say the movie was alot better than I expected.

I thought it was going to suck worse than Blair Witch but was pretty impressed with the film. It was a cool movie in the fashion of a giant monster movie. I gotta give props to JJ for having the guts to do a giant monster movie.

The only thing I didn’t like was the 1st person camera work. The way the camera moved around was a little annoying. I’m sure that alot of movie goers will get vertigo and have to run to the bathroom to puke. The movie really could of used a steady cam however the movie was fast paced enough to overlook that.

I did like the way they started the film and ended it. It tied into and made sense as to why it was all a 1st person pov. The movie was very intense and if you’re into some blood and gore then you’re going to like it.

All in all I gotta give props to JJ Abrams for making one heck of a film. I just hope that Star Trek won’t let me down.
